4Work great, 2" lift, Amazon ships to Hawaii for free!!!
By Hawaii guy
I put these on my 2002 Tacoma 4-door 4x4. They provide about 2 inches of lift to the rear. They also improve the load carrying capacity. The springs taper to the end, which probably helps keep the ride from being harsh. They don't have anti-squeak pads on the ends (I made my own, so I can't say if they'll squeak over time). I've been using them for 6 months now and am very happy with their performance on- and off-road.The truck has the factory SnugTop canopy, and I usually carry a fair amount of tools. I occasionally carry 4 or 5 people and sometimes tow a heavily loaded utility trailer. Over the years the rear had gradually sagged to where it was lower than the front of the truck without any additional weight or anyone sitting in it.As part of an overall suspension job at 90,000 miles, I replaced front and rear shocks with Bilstein 5100's. I set the front shock pre-load to 1" higher ride. The rear Bilstein 5100 has 1 inch longer travel than stock. With the Skyjacker add-a-leaf, I'm now 2 inches higher in the rear and don't sag much with a load or loaded trailer. With the 1 inch additional rear shock travel, I found the rear brake hose (to the axle from the frame) is just long enough when the rear axle is at maximum extension. There are some good descriptions of installing add-a-leafs on various Tacoma websites such as TacomaWorld.Com or TTORA.com. Having a floor jack and a couple bottle jacks and some C-clamps really helps. I installed the add-a-leaf without removing the springs at either end. One thing I haven't seen is undoing the clip that holds the upper end of the rear brake hose to the frame. This allowed the hose end to pull down another inch. While installing the the add-a-leaf on the driver's side I needed the extra inch of travel in the brake hose so I wouldn't damage it.I made my own spring-end anti-squeak pads from cut up pieces of 2 inch fire hose (the outer woven shell) with a strip cut from a plastic kitchen cutting board. I slipped the fire hose pieces over the end, slid the plastic strips in and applied a liberal amount of anti-seize grease. So far no leaf-to-leaf squeaking. If the springs had come with anti-squeak pads, I would have rated them 5 star.Amazon deserves 5 stars for shipping these to me in Hawaii for free!!! In pricing add-a-leaf springs at local stores and on-line, shipping to Hawaii doubled the price. So Amazon's price, while not the best you might find on the mainland, is by far the best price I've seen in Hawaii!!!

5leaf springs, skyjacker for my 2000 Tacoma
By mackdog
Happy with the springs. Took about 2 hours with 2 people to install and added at least 2 inches to my 2000 Tacoma 4X4, so now when I put some weight in my truck it does not hit the rubber stops in the rear.

5A little taller than advertised.

The lift springs work well and ride good, they did lift my trucks rear about 3 inches instead of 2 though. It worked out well in my case though as I had lifted the front 2.5 inches and put a canopy on my tacoma. It ended up perfectly level.
