Tinkertoys are Tinkertoys

The toys are exactly what we all remember from when we were kids, except that the pieces are larger. What I really want to brag about is the company I bought these from through Amazon. I ordered these on a Saturday. I received them on the following Tuesday - I KID YOU NOT! I hadn't even yet received an email confirmation! I couldn't believe it. I'm using the Tinkertoys in a class project, so I decided to order a second set, and again, the set arrived within 48 hours! I did NOT request special delivery on either. I had never and have still never had any other packages arrive that quickly!

Hours of Fun

We have loved our large set of Tinker Toys. We have had hours and hours of fun with them. We had a smaller set, but found the minimal number of pieces an enormous constraint so when we saw this larger set, we bought it right away. Our kids have been so creative with them, but there is one drawback. They would have loved being able to build more unique things with them. Because of this, we have also purchased a how-to book on Tinker Toys. This has added so much to our use of the Tinker Toys. My sons make cars and lawnmowers...my daughter makes strollers for her doll. A great buy!

Nice looking and well constructed for particle board.

Easy to assemble, even working entirely by myself. No missing parts or extra parts. I bought this one from Amazon, then a second identical one from another vendor. Both are good, though the second one had a few too many of the smallest screws and lacked some of the longer ones. No problem, a couple of small utility screws from my toolbox fixed things.I don't trust the locks provided at all. I mounted them, saw that they did barely work, but then unmounted the locks so they couldn't accidentally get permanently locked. I don't need the locks at all.The oak (?) veneer outside is very nice looking. The inside is lined with cedar (?) veneer. The bulk of the material is particle board but it seems tight and strong and very well fitted. I sit on the top of it sometimes (175 lb) but I definitely ease onto it. Would not recommend letting kids jump on it at all.If you fold them carefully, the chest will hold three side-by-side stacks of woolen sweaters and/or cotton tee shirts. The only ways it could be better would be: (a) solid wood, but then it would cost $600+, (b) better locks, but who cares, (c) a few inches bigger.

Loved the hope chest

I loved the hope chest. It was exactly as described and easy to put together. The finish was very nice and I was happy to give it as a gift for Christmas. I also believe the price for this chest was very good.

Very uncomfortable!

I found this carrier to be horribly uncomfortable for carrying my 15 pounder. The shoulder strap cut into my neck, and the waist strap was thin and offered no support at all. I returned it after trying to wear it for about 15 minutes. It's too bad because I really wanted this to work for us!

Ouch, my neck

I bought this baby carrier because my baby was outgrowing the Baby Bjorn that I loved so much when she was smaller. I saw the Combi Urban Carrier online and thought it was perfect. I liked the look of it and I liked the position that she would be in. I ordered it right away. As soon as I got it I put her in it and....OUCH! All of her weight went straight to the side of my neck. I got her out and readjusted and tried again with the same result. I tried it several ways. My husband tried it too and neither one of us could stand it. It was returned immediately. I don't recommend this product at all.

Great for short trips - not for all day

We have other carriers we prefer for longer trips but for those "quick nip into the shop" occasions where you don't really want to carry your 21 lb. six month old but don't REALLY want to put her into a more complicated carrier for such a quick trip this carrier is perfect. I would not recommend for a baby under 5 or 6 months as it only really holds your baby by the hips.For longer trips I recommend the Beco Butterfly 2 or a long non stretch wrap. For newborns I would recommend a sling type carrier.When I purchased this my daughter was no longer happy to sit quietly in a sling type carrier and had become SO active it really wasn't safe. I read what other reviewers said about the neck discomfort and I think that would be a real issue for long trips. I tend to find myself pushing the shoulder strap to the side.

nice collector piece.

The detail on this figure is impressive to say the least, and true to the character it's molded after, it is quite large. Like the others of the A. Ross Justice league line, this figure is not very posable, it's more of a collectors piece, but is nonetheless very sturdy and looks fantastic.

This figure is simply magnificent. Alex Ross sets the bar for figures and this just upped the ante a few more notches. DC Direct released a Black Adam figure awhile back that has nothing on this! A real stand-out in the JUSTICE series.

Great tool, but beware, its not that high quality, But ive made about 20,000 dollars worth of Insulation jobs using this tool.Just be consious, It lacks quality but until now has done the job.
