Not Bad If Conditions Are Right

This is a fun toy and the kids get a lot of amused looks when they ride on it. It works well when the conditions are right, and not at all when they are wrong. The "right" conditions are a flat and smooth surface (asphalt or concrete - doesn't matter) that is completely free of gravel or any any debris. Under those conditions, the design works fine. Just sit on it, start moving the handles, and the motion of the front wheels "magically" pulls you along. A little pricey for what you get and the limited usefulness, but it's a fun toy if the price doesn't matter and you have the right space to use it. (Let me emphasize again - if you don't have these conditions, you'll NEVER use it.)

Great Christmas present

I got a flying turtle the Christmas I was 4 years old. That was 36 Christmases ago and my mother still has it. All 12 of her grandchildren have enjoyed riding the 'turtle' and it still works almost as good as new. The tires could use replacing, but what do you expect after that long!? I think she said she paid a whopping $25 for it in 1970! So the price hasn't gone up that much if you count inflation!

I am very happy with this purchase. I am thankful for the Original Retail Packaging which makes me feel secure that I am purchaseing the correct item. (I have no time to research these facts & time is money.)The price was considerably less than my other options for the exact same product. The product itself is one that my company does rely on to be hassle free. Also, when the toner catridge is empty, the return lable gets the cartridge out of my building and on to the proper place for recycling (at no additional cost). This is also important to me and my company.

This product (and others in the line) are the most overpackaged items I've ever bought. It's not a miracle cream, but it's better than average. I would consider buying it again if it weren't so wasteful. For .5 oz you buy an enormous dispenser and unnecessary packaging.

Smooth, Positive Shifts Spinning or Under Load

SRAM Rival Rear DerailleurSRAM Rival DoubleTap 10-Speed ShiftersI ride up to 5000 miles per year. I switched from Shimano Ultegra to SRAM Rival. These cogs have a nice finish, and shift well spinning or under load in a full sprint with a tap of the Double Tap shifters. If you are considering Ultegra, check out Rival - reviews say it is comparable to SRAMs higher end parts for much less money. You will find yourself tapping through the shifts just for the satisfaction of hearing and feeling that positive feedback.This appears to be compatible with Shimano 10-speed shifters. I switched wheels with my wife's Dura Ace equipped bike. She didn't notice the difference at all. This means that the cogs worked well with the DA setup cause she would have complained if there was anything wrong!The lower cogs have one tooth removed on each cog as part of the design. SRAM says this improves shifting. Shifting is fast and the cassette runs very smooth, so maybe the marketing is true.

Great tool; makes life easier and saves time

Does exactly what you hope for, turned my Ingersoll Rand impact wrench into a torque wrench. It is not delicate like using a real torque wrench but when spinning wheels off and on, it works great and is much quicker without risking stretching the wheel studs.The case is a nice touch and keeps the set organized.

If you use an impact wrench and need to limit torque these are a great idea. The shaft twists under impact and then springs back, this limits the torque applied to the socket. These are essential if you are in the habit of using an air wrench to put wheel nuts on, without one the 500ft.lbs my wrench can generate is enough to crack alloy wheels. These are well made and tight fitting, I checked the torque the first few times I used them and it was very close to the expected value, the 2-3 ft.lb error could be in my torque wrench. The powder coating is well applied and the case is solid.

Good Quality

This is an excellent buy for the price. I can't tell any difference between these and another set that I have used that was a lot more expensive. If the dimensions are correct, what can go wrong since the modulus of elasticity is one of nature's most constant coefficients. People will complain of the overall accuracy of this type of device but they neglect the fact that screw torque/resultant fastener tension is subject to many variables, such as (but not limited to) corrosion, wear, burrs, and lubricants. These spring devices do a good job of keeping the bolt tension in the range where the wheel won't fall off, you can still get it off with the factory supplied "L" wrenches, and you haven't distorted the hub or disk. Don't forget that unless you have calibration equipment, keeping a "click type" torque wrench accurate is a real challenge. Remember that the torque applied is still a function of the impact wrench and air pressure you are using. Check this against one of old, cantilever lever, torque wrenches which maintain their accuracy as long as you start with the pointer on zero when no torque is applied.

Fixed issue with remotes not working

Both our remotes stopped working at the same time for our Chamberlain garage opener (model 41A5021-1C) and replacing it with this did the trick. It only required a screwdriver.We also plan on installing one of these Chamberlain Liftmaster 990LM Surge Protector since I think a surge is likely what did the damage.

Just I needed

I have a Liftmaster Security+ system and the unit would not respond to any remote controls. It took me less than 10mins to replace the board (4 screws, wire harness, and screw on connections for wired door opener) and it was up an running perfect. Just in case I added single unit surge protectors to each of my door openers. SIDE NOTE: My 2nd door opener would sometimes not respond to the its remote, and if it did, I had to be right near the door. When I replaced my this unit that I purchased, the 2nd unit started (and continues) to work perfectly. My guess is that there was some interference from the bad unit because the 2nd started acting up as soon as the other unit went bad. However, I have know way of confirming, and it all seems a bit illogical because I don't think they are in any way physically connected; hence the interference theory.

Replace the Circuit Board, not the whole garage door opener!

After reading several posts about garage doors not opening every time and problems with programming the remotes, I figured the circuit board was the problem. It was worth spending approx. $80 for a part rather than $250 for the entire opener system. I wonder how many people have gone through the hassle and time to replace the entire unit rather than just the circuit board. The part was easily replaced according to my husband. I could have done it myself, but we work as a team. The opener was only about 11 years old and nothing wrong with the mechanics. Solved the whole problem since we were able to re-program our opener buttons in our cars and the hand-held remotes. Opens and closes every time now. Great service. No problem receiving the part from the supplier & only took a couple of days if I remember correctly. Thanks.

An enjoyable game

I actually bought this game a couple of years before I got around to playing it. I bought it after watching the "Board Games with Scott" episode on it (google it, it's on the web and gives you a pretty good idea of what the game is like). Not only the sciency bits appealed to me, the components have aesthetic appeal and I thought the way the dominance of the corals is handled with the environmental board was a unique and interesting play dynamic.What kept it on the shelf so long was the time I figured it would tale to learn it. It's not quite as complex as some make it out to be in that regard, but it is pretty unique so it does take a little bit of time to figure out. And in my case, I only have a couple of friends into games and we may only get together for a game night once or twice a month. I figured the best way to learn would be to watch the "Board Games with Scott" episode first, though it's not a teaching vid but one that just gives a quick overview, and then skim the rules from there. But the video episode is about 1/2 hour, and as we often start games after dinner, that suggested we'd be spending probably 1-2 hours learning it, and that would significantly cut into our playing time.But I han't forgotten the game, and kept my eye out for an opportunity. Fnally, on Christmas day 2012, we decided to do a game night where we could get started quite a bit earlier. It worked, though the first couple of games were a throwaway and relatively short, partly due to misinterpreting the rules and then later figuring out what we did wrong on closer inspection of them. By the third time we had it pretty figured out and some interesting strategy ideas were coming up-- at this point it's become really fun because we're getting it and my initial impressions of the interesting aspects of the game were correct. Even one player who was feeling he wasn't smart enough for the game has come around and he now likes it too.The video includes an interview with the designer, who describes the game as "for gamers". This made it sound like it's hard-core and we're certainly not. We do play the basic Carcasonne, and like Tobago and Bohnanza as well, but overcomplex games that go on forever don't appeal to any of us-- and Reef Encounter fits right into our tastes, I'd say. A good game that I expect we will play many enjoyable games on.

A game about under sea life

A game for 2-4 players this game is very fun. It's a very strategic and can take some getting used to if your not used to this sort of game. I've heard it's Carrcoson like but I have yet to try that game. Each turn has about 10 things you can do. Step 1 and 10 have to be done the first thing you do or last thing but the rest of the actions can be done in any order. The game boards are nice thick cardboard, printed in bright candy colors, and has wood componets. It's rule book explains every turn action by action but is kind of dry and a little convelutedly. If you pick this up read the rules a few times and try a play through on your own to see how it goes. Episode 12 of the How to play Podcast has a very good break down of how to play the game that can help as well. It might not be for the traditional board game players that are used to things like Minopoly but more for people that like Risk or Stratigo or people that like Eropeian games. The game really does simulate in a basic form the way real reef work. One coral will grow and sometimes comes in contact with another and then it's a race to see who can digest the other quicker. Parrot fish eat away at them and shrimp protect them.

The BEST small-kitchen dishrack on the market

When I discovered that I had only 13" of counter space for a dishrack, between my sink and my stove in my New York apartment, I searched far and wide for the best narrow dishrack to put in that spot. Most of the available dishracks are at least 14" wide and therefore not a possibility, but even among those that are less than 14" wide, the OXO GoodGrips Compact Dishrack is head and shoulders above the competition. It doesn't take up a lot of visual space because it doesn't have a lot of height, but it still stores everything you need to dry very elegantly- plates in the part next to the silverware holder, where the wire has a vertical bump in the middle, bowls on the outer section that is completely flat, and cups on the prongs on the side. It also, unlike a lot of the other narrow dishracks, has an excellent draining system- no water lingering in the bottom of a flat pan, no dishtowels underneath. That was the cincher for me. This is THE dishrack for small apartments.

This works perfectly for what I needed - a place to dry a few dishes, for 2, at a time and not take up much counter space. Most glasses hung on outside touch the counter and drip onto it instead of into try, so I put them in the middle of the rack.
