Stop! This Is The Real Clean Light!

Look no further. This is a smaller version of the true clean light. It is quality made and it works! Try to get a clean light for under $80 and you will be ripped off. The pretty white UV lights priced under $80 are garbage, especially the ones that sell for under $50. When a maker wants to sell you on a do-nothing UV sterilizing light, they give you a lot of instructions and make it difficult to use. Enter the useless little white color body UV lights that shut off when you tilt them.People wasted money giving our wife and I the four different under $70 portable units made by two manufacturers. All four were difficult to use, worked inconsistently and ate batteries. Being familiar with them, I laugh when I think of their owners investing considerable time passing them over objects. For those in the know, its like watching an adult pass a magic wand over a frog expecting it to become a prince.When I used this model for the first time, I got clear results. I am very sensitive to dust mites on my pillow & head area of my bed. I wake up with a stuffy nose every morning, even after I spent an hour going over the area with the other lights. I went over just my pillow with this unit for 15 minutes. The next morning NO STUFFY NOSE, the first time in years. Since I bought this light, I go over the head area and my pillow for 5 minutes every three days and I get no stuffed nose. It works.Con. There is one con. The body should be designed better so it is easier to hold & operate safely with one hand. You do not want to get any bare skin under these lights. These units are tricky to hold onto and turn on and off without your fingers slipping off the sides. Use two hands to operate it so your fingers do not slip and get in the light.Further thoughts: I wish the designer of this unit would consider designing a portable home UV light for human skin. There are many people today who would benefit from skin treatments, especially those with type 2 diabetes. UV light treatments is the only effective way to control the potentially vicious toe fungus & hospital strength staff infection which lead to surgery and amputations. So far, the skin treatment lights are made only for hospitals. Few diabetics are even told how effective UV can be. Instead, they are left relying on near useless weak medicated creams.

Not a toy.

Holy cow, this thing is BRIGHT! Even reflections off the surfaces you're sanitizing can hurt your eyes. I strongly recommend wearing a set of UV sunglasses when using this. I have a set of polarized Ray-Bans, which completely eliminated my eye strain. It's really easy to use, despite the key switch being a little funky. Thanks to this light, all toilet seats in the house are now fit to be eaten from. Though I think the upstairs one might be starting to grow a tumor...

Model UV-5G DeGERMinator!

After a long internet search of hand held UV lights, I finally settled on the model UV-5G DeGERMinator from RestAssured. Although this model was more expensive than other models available, after reading scores of reviews (most were negative) on less expensive models I decided to purchase this unit. I am glad I did!The shipment arrived several days earlier than expected which is always a pleasant surprise. The light itself was packaged well and arrived in perfect condition. The instructions for its use were very clear and to the point, and the most important parts were highlighted (by hand) with a hand written note on top to please read before use. Another nice personal touch was the handwritten 'thank you for your order' on the enclosed bill. That is something very rarely seen nowadays and was very appreciated. You are not dealing with a large, disconnected company here, folks. These personal touches were provided and signed by the founder and CEO of the company itself. I am sure I really can "Rest Assured" that if I ever experience any type of difficulty with this unit, Mr. Joseph Schulman will do his best to rectify the situation.The light itself is very easy to use and within minutes, my laptop, mouse, cell phone and TV remote control were sanitized. Having the option to insert batteries and 'cut the cord' is there, however, I have not done that yet. But having that option is great, something competing units did not all have.Remember one thing...the old saying "you get what you pay for" still holds true, and I feel that I now own the best light available in its class with a company that will stand behind it. (Just read reviews on other companies who refuse to even answer inquiries from their customers). I would not hesitate to purchase another product from Rest Assured and would strongly recommend it to any of my friends.
