man i love amazon.....i got this fuel pump when it was $100 DOLLA'S then it went back up to $180 bucks...right after i bought it...so i was real happy....and then shipping was free and it took a week to get here...i got the pump in my car right now and its working good...yehhhh amazon..lol...

Misfit

I have a 1998 BMW 323ic (E36) and want I bit more power out of it. I found a great price on Amazon and they sent a kit they said would fit. It arrived quickly with only compression damage on the kit box - the shipping box was the same size...I spent almost three hours trying to install it. Instructions said to replace all the intake hoses but none of the replacements were the correct diameter. Using original hoses, I got the adapter and filter to the approximate place of where the metal baffle was supposed to be but then the baffle required extremely odd angles to avoid the radiator and sheet metal. To top it all off, the instructions pictured a dissimilar space, non-existent and differently shaped mounting points. I finaly gave up.Amazon uses UPS for returns so, I had to drive 40 miles to find an open shop (the huge box does not fit in a drop box). While K&N offers a fine product, no one will tell me yet what fits. This has been a most unpleasant experience.

While this raises your HP you will only feel it if you punch it and get into high revs. It does make your idle power more noticable and gives you a lower tone to your engine.Easy to install.

Perfect fitment. Clear and easy to follow instructions. Awesome results, you can definitely feel more of a punch and a stronger pull in the high revs. It also sounds nice and deep.

Works as advertised!

I have a 2004 Ranger with the 4.0 V6 SOHC. This kit was a great way to add a bit more power and life into the engine. The truck definitely "breathes" better and has more power. Even just a few horsepower has made the difference. You will hear a little more noise when the air intake is open, since this doesn't restrict the airflow like the original stock box did. This thing is wide open, and thus creating that extra horsepower since you have a lot more cold air being sucked in. The truck's computer had no problem adapting to the new kit. The only thing I haven't done is see if my gas mileage has actually improved like they claim yet or not. I did have one hiccup installing the kit, but that was my fault. I had put the air sensor back in reversed, so the truck couldn't read how much air was being drawn in, causing the truck to rev up, then die and then start up again. Once I got the airflow sensor in right, problem solved, and the truck was ready to go. The instructions are easy enough to understand, and the whole thing is made here in the USA! I recommend this to anyone with a Ford Ranger with the V6 SOHC version. If you have the older 4.0 OHC V6, make sure you get the kit appropriate to your motor. This kit I reviewed here only works with the newer SOHC version.

So Far So Good

I have a 2004 Ford ranger 4.0l V6 and this kit was a breeze to install. Other than looking and sounding good I have noticed a little more pickup at higher speeds when overtaking, not anything melting my rear tires with blistering fury, but a little more kick. I just installed it yesterday so I don't know if there will be any Fuel savings (increased MPG) especially since I have been putting my foot down trying to make a little noise now that it is installed. I researched this product for a while and K&N has lived up to my expectations so far.

Air Intake

I was very satisfied with the quality of this product and the excellent instructions included. My Air Intake system is installed on a 2005 Dakota 4.7 V8. It has improved horse power and accelaration as expected. I can't speak to specifics on fuel economy changes, because I am in Michigan and it's 4 wheel drive snow season. My guess is on the one tank before snow season it improved by about 2 miles per gallon. It has a real nice Power sound when you put your foot into it. I like it.

I found it relatively easy to install. I only had one issue with the instructions, but using my own judgement I managed to find the right location for the support bracket.If you have some experience working with your hand you should be able to install this yourself.

Improved acceleration, makes the Jeep more fun to drive!

I installed the kit the other night and have driven it a little. Installation was pretty straight forward even though the instructions aren't very good. Here are my findings so far.Quality: Pretty nice kit, the heat shield is powder coated steel. The tube is plastic similar to the stock tubing.Power: I was not expecting anything noticeable but there is a real gain. Part of this is probably throttle response which is greatly improved.Sound: At idle there is a pretty noticeable sucking sound at the filter. On the throttle there is very little difference in sound from stock.Mileage: Don't know yet? Seems to be not affected either way.So, would I buy this kit for the 3.7? Yes, mostly for the improved throttle response when driving aggressively.

Boost in performace. instructions suck

After i put this thing on i could tell an immediate boost in throttle response. I removed a star because this instructions were the worst thing i have ever seen. I practicly had to figure out where the parts went together. Overall im pleased with my purchase though.

Good performance upgrade

I have a 99 VW Passat v6 gls. I needed to replace my air filter because it hasn't been replaced for a long time. I decided to go with the K & N air filter because you don't need to ever replace the filter just with regular cleaning after certain amount of time. I was able to do the replacement by myself without having to take it to a shop for installation. I find it pretty easy to do by myself. All you need are the tools you have from a set of mechanic tools. If you don't have the tool set you can just get them at the store. Just follow the instruction that came with the air filter box then it's pretty straight forward.After I replaced the filter. I noticed the engine sounds better and more powerful. The overall performance definitely improves from my old filter. I feel the engine now sounds a bit like a turbo with a lot of air. I'm overall satisfied with the purchase however I haven't notice a lot of improvements from improving the gas mileage maybe only a bit.

I have always put K&N filter chargers on all my cars, why you ask, well K&N is the best for all cars, saves money in the long run by just cleaning them and not buying new filters all the time, Install, well whew, took no more that 30 minutes total out of my day to do it! Thanks Amazon and K&N!
