Such a shame

I have received 2 of these dressers now that have both been poor craftsmanship and missing parts. The first dresser we received had the top drawers broken off the hinges and the wood was not solid inside. The second dresser we received had a terrible paint job. It appeared more white washed than painted white. Parts of the wood were visible through the "paint" along with chips and gouges in the paint. The box it was packed in was unmarred. Along with the terrible paint job, the dresser handles were not what we ordered and it was missing the "heart shaped back". To top it off, the top right dresser drawer was not mounted straight so it slides fine but its just crooked. In conclusion, terrible "paint" job, dented, chipped, scratched wood, wrong pieces, missing pieces, and crooked drawers. This was all on the replacement dresser that was supposed to fix the broken one we received first. What a joke. After talking with Amazon, I'm just going to go straight to the manufacturer and see what they have to say. I will update this review after talking with them.

great buy

I watched this dresser go down to under $260... its a solid dresser for my 14 month old's room. I bought the changing table insert and I am very pleased. The drawers slide nicely and are slow enough not to pitch fingers. I orginally planned to replace the big hearts with butterfly knobs from PB. If you have a similar idea just beware that the dresser comes with 2 predrilled holes for the screws for the hearts. It took some creativity but we were able to fill the holes and redrill. (you could also just replace with a big enough knob to cover the holes). The dresser is well made. Delivery was by a 3rd party that had to arrange a drop off date, came well packed already assembled with the expection of the legs and drawer handles. Highly recommend, especially for the price.

This is a solid piece of furniture for children and beyond. It comes already assembled (90%), heavy with rails on the sides of each drawer, and solidly crafted to last (you can change out the heart handles as the child grow older). The only drawback was that sometimes the screws for the hearts were not the correct lengths causing them to pierce through the heart or not hold them in place (no instruction included). A quick call to the Amazon promptly solved these problems. I just know this is a common problem as I ordered several furniture products from this company to match the set for two daughters.
