The amazing versatility of vice location permits left or right handed use, clamping on both ends or dual clamping on the front. Supplied with four steel bench dogs with a plastic coating to protect your edge tools. There is a double row of 3/4" clamping holes working from each of the four vise locations, giving an endless opportunity to clamp your work! All three benches are 33-1/2" high, 19-5/8" wide, have a 1-1/8" top thickness at the center and a 2-3/4" thick skirt. Vises open 4-1/2". These benches are available with or without a storage cabinet.

Good value

This workbench is pretty good for the money.The assembly is easy.The vises are well design, there is no play and they are flush to the bench.The main complaint I have with this bench is that it is too ligthweight. I would not recommand using this bench without the accessory cupboard which stiffen the assembly and add some weight.

Workbench

I purchased this workbench a couple months ago after doing quite a bit of research. I decided that I wanted a bench that was a little heavier and that would utilize the space underneath to make the storge area more efficient. The bench went together without any problem and for the average person would be quite sufficent as it comes from the factory. The vises are heavy duty and use a steel threaded dowel along with two steel guides which is much nicer than some of the other workbenches. I did replace the handles on the vises with ones that I made I thought they looked a little nicer than the ones that came with the bench. I reinforced the table by adding another 3/4" to the underneath side of the bench top. In addition I reversed the storage area to make it a flat shelf (ater adding some plywood) and added 6 equal sized storage drawers to maximize the sorage area. Not only do the improvements do all of the above but it also makes it one sturdy bench that can handle anything that I have thrown at. So if you can't afford to spend $1600+ this is a great alternative!

I am very happy with the workbench. I've only had it for a week or so, but it's been great for repairs and small projects. I purchased with the optional cupboard, which is a useful accessory and does appear to add some heft.Pros: good build, goes together well, very functional, efficient use of spaceCons: packaging, as mentioned with reviews of other Sjoberg Nordic benches, is not adequate to protect product during shipping. My bench showed up with a few moderate cracks and dents.
