If this is the size Liner for you truck then, yes, you need it. I have had it for over a year now and it is super sturdy. It keeps my truck from getting messed up in the back. It makes it a little easier to get heavy items out bc it slides with them. My 2 big dogsride in the back when they are with me and it doesn't matter ifthey are dirty or not because my back area is protected. I highly recommend this liner. You can just take it out and spray it off when needed.
