Nice, gives off lots of light

I bought this for a kitchen. I needed a light that was not close to the ceiling and one that gave lots of light (it is a dark room.) This matched the style of the room/house and the simplicity of it didn't make it seem too "fancy" for a kitchen.It did need assembled slightly (not every arm) and was heavy to install by myself. I used some boxes stacked up on a table to do the "holding" while I did the wiring. ha ha!It needed some fussing to get the arms evenly spaced with each other and even more fussing to get the glass shades seated in the cups so that they all were straight. Months later I still look up and see that one isn't quite centered. Not terrible, but it bugs me.The only thing I DON'T like is that the glass isn't really stained...it looks more like it was splatter/spray painted to get the effect. I don't like that. From further away, it looks fantastic and the shades look a nice amber-ish color, but standing right under it, I notice the speckles. If you zoom in on the picture here, you can almost see it. I may try to find new shades that are frosted or something, but they may not fit. Overall I like it enough that I won't change it even if I don't find different shades. When it is on and you view it driving up the street, it is very pretty.

I love the way this looks in my kitchen. It is beautiful! I too saw the globes and thought... "ew" but it looks completely different than what I thought once I got it up.However, the installation instructions that I got were flat-out wrong. If you hook it up yourself and it doesnt light up, have someone look at the instructions to tell you what is wrong with them, because its probably not the lamp itself. I'm a novice DIY but I have put in a fair share of light fixtures. I've had instructions that were vague, but this is the first time I looked at it and said, hey, that's just flat-out wrong. I'm glad I already knew my way around a light fixture.It looks absolutely fabulous in the kitchen, though. Gorgeous. And a steal at this price.

great chandelier

This was a super bargain purchase & very easy to put together. Chandelier is perfect for my space - a dining room with a cathedral ceiling. Looks as good as or better than anything I looked at in the local stores & cost less than half the price. The least expensive fixtures in this size were around $450 to $500 & this looks much better.
