Altimeter The altimeter features a range up to 9,000 m / 29,500 ft, putting all 14 of the world's 8,000+ meter summits within your reach. Suunto Vector also features an altitude difference measurement function for following the vertical progress between different stages of a climb. It has an automatic 24-hour memory that stores the altitude and ascent/descent rate for every hour and also features an adjustable altitude alarm and a number of different memory functions. With the unique logbook function, you can also record your total and cumulative vertical ascents and descents, as well as the number of runs skied. Barometer Suunto Vector displays the current barometric pressure and temperature, enabling you to forecast weather changes when they matter most. It also automatically records barometric data for the past four days: the first six hours in one-hour intervals and in six-hour intervals thereafter. When the reference altitude is set correctly, the instrument also shows the present sea level pressure, making it easier for you to read and understand the barometric pressure at high altitudes. However, when touring the mountains, don't forget that the detected barometric pressure changes when you are moving in a vertical direction, which at times, makes the tracking of weather changes a bit more complicated. 2nd one, even better

It`s my 2nd one - I have X Black as well. This yellow finishing is crazy nice, the strap in newer one is more flexible - but if is it as well durable??? It`s just a bit thiner. I have in use Velcro strap as well - nice.I was considering this model for quite long, and then I watched "127 hours" - great film about some "adventure" and about...THIS watch IMHO:-))) - I pushed the button.All Suuntos are great, someday I think I`ll invest in some Core, I also have casio ProTrek PRG 240 - not bad, but I prefere Vector.Cheers

This is my 2nd Suunto Vector, I've had the 1st one for over 12 years, and it still works, I thought it was dead when some water got in it due to a leaking seal from many battery changes.My only complaint is that the yellow isn't a bright racing yellow, but more of an orange yellow. But I like the negative face, which is much more visible in the sunlight.

Great watch. 1 minor problem:Alarm sound is too low for me, wake me up but is not easy to listen in the street (For example riding a bike).
