Very good vest

I just got this vest and I'm pretty impressed. There are more pockets in it than I think I could use. I purchased this vest for work. I am a telecom field tech in an arid region in the US. During the summer it's not feasable to wear more than a T-shirt while working. I found that my tool belt was too cumbersome especially in the tight spaces I find myself working in. Last year I purchased a rayon "fishing" vest from a local sporting goods store and it fell apart within a week of using it. I found this surfing around Amazon and the reviews got me to try it out. I can already tell it's much more sturdy than the fishing vest I got last year. There are about three times as many pockets too! The true test will be when I load it up with tools and supplies and take it into the field. I'll post another review after a few months of use.My only issue with it so far is the size. I normally wear XL shirts. Both in T-shirt size and button-up shirts. I put this one on over an XL T-shirt just out of the box and it's HUGE on me. Maybe it will shrink after washing it...

I have been wearing this style of Rothco vests for many years now.In very strenuous day to day wear, they last approximately 6-9 months before little things start to creep in (slight tears at seam convergance points, little tears in the pockets)I keep EVERYTHING in it, wallet, keys, change, watch, pda, pocketknife, few tools, sidearm, pocketwatch, business card holder, etc... so it's QUITE loaded all the time.One of the best vests I've ever found, and I continue to buy 2 every year.

Works great, fits great, but pocket linings are crap. Right hand lens pocket lining ripped out the first day I used the vest. But I keep using it because, well, it works, even with the bad pocket. The other seams have held just fine under pretty heavy loads.
