WOW, great upgrade for AGP and older power supplies
By jman
I have a P4 3.0Ghz, 1 Gig ram and 305W power supply on my Dell 8300. I had a 9800 Pro 128 Mb video card that was great, but I wanted to upgrade to a new video card with STALKER coming out. I knew that I was VERY limited with a 305W power supply and an AGP video port so I tried a two video cards first an ATI X1650Pro and an ATI X1600XT. One needed too much power and the other wasn't much better than my 9800 Pro.My last ditch effort was to go over to NVidia and try the 7600GT. MY GOD!!! It is much quiter than the 9800 Pro, runs the games smoother at much higher settings and the installation and drivers are much easier to use.I can't recommend this card higher for anyone with an aging Power Supply and AGP mother board. I'm very, very happy with the card.

A great AGP card
By Kyle Covino
This is actually one of the better AGP cards that you'll be able to find out on the market considering that AGP is all but dead. With it I've been able to comfortably play Battlefield 2, F.E.A.R. and Guild Wars with no problems at the highest (or near highest) settings available. If you have an AGP slot and need a great graphics card, this guy is the way to go.

Great card
By Beaver
Great card, however, I believe it's bottlenecking with my XP 3000+ (slightly overclocked at 2.21). Not much more I can do with my A7N8X-E Deluxe though. Not to mention that the multiplier can't be unlocked with this chip. Also using a gig of good, low latency Corsair ram.Card runs Doom 3 GREAT...settings all the way up. Battlefield 2 and Flight Sim 9 are different stories...have to use mid settings. Battlefield 2 I can crank up a bit more and after about 10 minutes of gameplay it works itself out, but FS9 suffers horribly. I think FS9 and BF2 use more CPU than Doom 3. Doom 3 is simply eye candy on this card though. Interestingly enough, FS X plays much more smoothly and at much higher settings than FS9. I didn't expect that! It looks really good. Video playback is creamy...couldn't ask for anything better. And it benches higher than the 7800!Keep in mind that I'm replacing a 9800 Pro 128 and the difference is uncanny. I could barely play the above games at minimal settings before and now at least they're all playable...FS9 being the resource hog. How much can you really expect out of an AGP based system anyway though? I got this card to squeeze another year or 2 out of my gamer that I built over 2 years ago. For 190 bucks, I'd say it's a steal...highly recommended. Just don't expect miracles. You'll need a modern PCI-E based system (and a thousand bucks or 2) to get good framerates on the newer games at maxed-out settings. So for the money, this upgrade can't be beat. You can't do much overclocking with the stock cooler. None actually. It won't stay stable with even a slight overclock. Need aftermarket cooling to crank it up.If you don't want to dump a pile of cash into a new PCI-E system for another year or so, this card should serve you fine at under 200 bucks. And just think of how much cheaper the PCI-E stuff will be in another year or 2. You may not be able to play the bleeding-edge games at high settings with it, but IMO, there haven't been that many good games come out in the last year anyway. If you can live with waiting for a while, buy this card and hold your horses. You'll get alot more for your money next year.
