A great extra layer, Carhartt's duck vest is made of 12-ounce, firm-hand, 100% ring-spun cotton duck. For warmth, it features a nylon lining quilted to arctic-weight polyester insulation, plus a rib-knit collar and, in back, a drop tail. great vest yo.

i live in indiana. we get several good months for riding a motorcycle. i like to push it as far as i can when it comes to riding time.last month wasnt too bad, but we had a few days colder than normal. one of those days i had taken a day off of work and planned to go riding. that day came and it was chilly. the day off work was already in effect though, so i wasnt gonna blow it...i went riding anyway....ooohh..to say it was 'brisk' would be appropriate....on the ride i past a local store that sold carhartt gear. id bought stuff from that store years before, but thought they might have something to help out on this cool september morning..i found a black sandstone carhartt vest. it looked cool. got a size to fit over my leather jacket, paid my $48.00 bux and split..perfect..its not so bulky that it was really noticeable as i rode, but it cut the wind and chill down a ton. when it warmed up as the day went on, it folded up and fit in the bikes bag nicely..money well spent. i know itll last for years as carhartt products are high quality items..all in all, if carhartt marketed these towards bikers, i think they'd sell a bunch of them...i know id buy one...cuz i already did..going ridin'.later.

I feel like a Dock-Jock in a Snug-Sock! This product is an absolute knock-out! It keeps my core comfortably warm, leaving my arms free for a short or long-sleeve choice, while rendering a pleasant semi-rigid feel that keeps my form erect and energized- ready for work! Five stars, Yeaaahhh!!!
