Product Description

All CURT hitches feature WeatherTite construction, which prevents rusting from the inside out by sealing the main body of the hitch. The receiver tube has an open back end to allow for easy cleaning and for dirt and moisture to pass through and not get trapped as is common with other brands of hitches. All CURT hitches come with mounting hardware and installation instructions. CURT is the only hitch company in the industry that mechanically de-scales all of our hitches before applying a thick powder coat finish, which is baked on for a high-gloss, smooth surface. CURT trailer hitches are simply the most attractive, most durable and toughest hitch on the market. You won’t find better quality and value anywhere!

5Excellent product
By Mario
Excellent product. Exact tight fit. Very easy to instal on my 2005 Ford Freestar. Took me about 40 minutes. Bolts are heavy duty. Instructions are simple and provide all torque specs for the bolts. On Ford Freestars, left/front/upper hole for the bolt has to be slightly enlarged on the frame as the Ford factory doesn't allign the frame exactly. Case for all Freestars. Very easy, 2 minute fix, just take a 5/8 drill bit and slightly enlarge the hole on the frame of the minivan.Otherwise everything fits like a glove. It's recommended to have 2 people installing the hitch as it weights 45 lbs. I installed the hitch by myself, using stands to hold it up, thus it took me 40 minutes, otherwise, 2 people could manage this under 30 minutes. Don't forget to unhook the muffler from the rubber hanger in the back, spray some penetrating oil for easier removal. Using a good weight hammer to bang in/position the hitch is a must as it is a tight/exact fit.

4Heavy Duty for sure
By Steve
Bought for my Ford Freestar. Took over 2 hours because of misalignment in the Ford frame that had to be ground out to allow a bolt to pass through. Otherwise the install was fairly easy. About 40 pounds so have some props ready to hold it up.
