Mustang seat
By Rachel Dupre
I love my Mustang seat because the Stratoliner stock seats are like torture to me. The Mustang seat is slightly longer than the Stock seat. I had to put 4 washers on each side of the bracket that holds on the Yahama Stock Passenger seat in order to get the stock passenger seat raised up enough for the Mustang seat to click on easily. There probably would be no problem if you also buy the Mustang passenger seat but I saw no reason to do that....I am 5'9'' tall and like the Mustang seat very much. My boyfriend is 5'6" and he says the seat is too wide in the inner thigh area. (Makes him tip-toe when his feet are on the ground) But then he needs Barron pullback risers and I don't. I guess I just have longer arms & legs. He also does not wear boots with heels which would make a difference with the tip-toe issue. I can ride for 8 hours on the Mustang seat where 2 hours on the stock seat caused severe tailbone pain. I didn't plan on the removable backrest but I bought it because the seat was less expensive with it. I like the hook and loop closure for the backrest recepticle for when the backrest is off. Very easy on-off and the back rest has turned out to be comfy, too. Hope this helps...IF YOU ARE THINKING YOU NEED PULLBACKS, GET THE MUSTANG SEAT FIRST. IT PUTS ME ABOUT 3/4 INCH CLOSER TO THE HANDLEBARS THAN THE STOCK SEAT. VERY NICE.
