Product Description
The SL Star range of pneumatic spear guns has been in production for many years now, and they have won worldwide fame for their excellence in terms of robustness, reliability, precision and powerful shooting.
Constantly updated over the years, the SL Star spear guns are ultra light, easy to use, and fire quickly.
They come with anatomical high grip butts enabling the gun to be held in line with the arm with no extra effort.
The bright yellow butt means you can identify the gun even if it ends up on the sea-bottom after shooting.
A strong line hook is situated on the bottom of the butt for shaft loading.
The guns are fitted with a safety catch and, when the trigger is pulled, it frees the line releasing device.
The SL Star spear guns come with an 8 mm threaded steel shaft.
SL 40 (40 cm long)

Great Gun
By Luis Gerardo Mendez Lacayo
The gun is perfect size for hunting in tight space areas. It is good quality fabrication and great as a secondary gun if you dive with 2 at the same time.

Going diving!
By Connie Kronfeld
Beautiful gun. It is shaped so that my hand (small) and my son's hand ( large) can both use it comfortably. We don't have to share because the price is so good.

Imma cray hella bad azz kayaker now
By Robert Salsbury
I don't spearfish fish. I don't even hardly fishing pole fish for fish anymore. All I do is paddle my awesome kayak on lakes for exercise, for camping, and for stress reduction. But here's the thing - unless one is on a wilderness lake where yahoos swilling beer and hammering the throttles wide open on their petro guzzling powerboats are banned, kayakers aren't that respected. Powerboaters really don't give a crap about paddlers, they'd like to drive over us if they thought they could get away with it. Sometimes on sunny drunken weekend days I feel blessed just to get off a lake without one of em cutting me in two.Until I got a Cressi Sub 16 inch SL Star 40 Pneumatic Spear Gun, that is. I strap this bad ass looking mother on my foredeck under a couple of bungees, within easy reach, and let those power buggers know I'm strappin' my spear gat and they best be keeping far enough astern or abow or port or left side whatever that's called, or they might be wishing they had. The Cressi Sub 16 inch SL Star 40 Pneumatic Spear Gun looks a bit like a pistol grip pump shotgun and that's all right with me. If anyone asks what it is and why I'm packing I just tell em I kill muskrats with it because I love their dying squeals and how much noise they make splashing as they die. That seems to satisfy the inquiring minds as they pretty much never have a follow up question although one bass fisherman asked me if I speared beavers and I just winked and gave him a bit of a gun show with my paddle pumped biceps. So yeah, the Cressi Sub 16 inch SL Star 40 Pneumatic Spear Gun may not grow a 1970 110 horsepower Mercury "Tower of Power" outboard on the back of my kayak, which would sink it anyway, but it evens the game a little. Plus, it'll bust an angry turtle mad doggin' you on a log down in no time flat. CHECK YOURSELF TURTLE. TOO LATE.Buy it if you kayak and you can paddle with the confidence if a huge old party barge driven by a drunken LAPD retiree with a whole crapload of drunk senior citizens on board comes bearing down on you, that before it smashes you and tears you to pieces, you might get lucky and impale a spear into grandpa's face and take him out too. And heck, what more can you want in a situation like that?
