Great snow blade

After having this product for almost a month I am pleased with it. I consider it more of a snow blade than plow. But it works as advertised. Little difficult to use at first when blade is on rear of vehicle as you plow in reverse but you get the hang of it after a while.Nice quality construction and material. Only thing I didn't like was that it had no lights. The thing does sit lower than you lights but because I only had a 1 1/4 inch receiver and had to use a 2 inch adapter the plow sticks out quite a bit from the vehicle. I had to add some trailer lights to the unit for fear in bad weather or when dark someone may not realize the plow sticks out quite a bit and may rear end you. Wish they had an optional lighting kit as my DIY modification looks a little clunky but does the trick.

I've owned this Snowsport plow for 2 winters and I can say that I am very impressed with it. I own a 1999 Ford Expedition and due to the lite duty front end I cannot put on a regular hydraulic or electric snow plow. I came across this ( with free shipping) and decided to go for it. You get a front hitch that custom fits directly to the frame of your truck. It took about 1 ½ hours to install. The blade is made of heavy aluminum that takes about an hour to assemble. During the first snow storm I was pushing the snow around while inside my warm truck. It works best in 4x4 low in first gear. As soon as you start backing up, the blade fold's down and rides on top of the snow. You can't pull the snow back with this blade due to the folding action. Its completely manual. Tilts left and right and of course straight. To travel with the snow blade you hook it to the specially designed receiver. It usually takes 2 swipes to make a clear path depending on the amount of snow.( The blade does not lock in the down position) It won't dig up grass which will be good during the spring.I strongly recommend this Snowsport plow setup for personal use and helping out neighbors during heavy snows.

This is a great and simple design. Works great for my own large driveway needs.No more waiting for hired plowing contractors to show up when i need them most.Independence is great. Now i have control of when plowing is going to happen.
