Great item - Fair Price
By Wolfyjr421
Ordered this item as it is the only hitch receiver available for a 2003 C-Class Mercedes. Kinda pricey but Amazon was the best price I could find on it. Having only a limited mechanical know-how, I was a bit itimidated about the installation as it required bumper removal and drilling holes into the bumper and frame. Had to have it though so I dove in.This hitch is obviously a quality made product. Although the intructions were a bit vague, I still figured it out in less than 3 hours. It does require cutting into your steel bumper (about 1" square or 1 1/4" circle) to allow access to set the bolts. It also requires drilling 7/16" holes into the cross member frame and the hardened steel bumper. Don't even start this project unless you have the ability to cut the access hole and the drill/drillbit that will allow you to drill a hole into steel.Luckily I had all of the tools necessary and intstallation was actually easier that I expected. Once properly mounted, it is secure and works great. It is hardly noticeable as it sits about 1/4" below the bumper cover.

2003 C240 Mercedes Curt Hitch was perfect and looks great on my car. The installation instruction were a bit vague but with the right drill bits I was able to put it on. If you want some pics email me at michael.moreno0120@gmail.com
