Definitely better than my last shredder...

I went from a super cheap shredder, to cheap, to this one...so far so good. Certainly worth the extra few dollars for the extra page capacity and power. Also, I like the safety feature. My biggest disappointment is in the actual cut...to me, confetti cut should look like tiny pieces and not long strips of paper.I like the design...can see how full bin is...has a nice handle...easy to empty. A tad bit disappointed in the run time...seems like it's better for people who shred as they go as opposed to our family who does massive piles of stuff at once. We're hoping that makes us convert to a shred-as-you-go habit...hmmm...perhaps a New Years' resolution in the making :-)

Good value and solid performer in the home

I bought this to replace an aging Fellowes entry level shredder. I wasn't a fan of the old shredder as it would only shred one page at a time and didn't make very fine pieces. It also jammed frequently, was noisy and recently burned out permanently after being fed a couple of dozen pages in a single session.What a nice difference in the DS-2. It consistently shreds into very fine strips that would be impossible to piece together. It can handle a maximum of 6 sheets at time but won't handle the advertised 8 sheets. I also feed it unopened junk mail and the resulting shreds are indistinguishable from any other shredded paper. It does bog down (motor slows significantly) when more than 4 sheets are fed at a time but even when it has bogged down the resulting shreds are consistent with the results from a single page.The DS-2 is much quieter than my older shredder and I would rate the noise level as low (good). I did test a couple of machines in the store that were quieter but they were also much more expensive.I like the look of the shredder overall. The can that comes with it has a good capacity. The shredder portion lifts off the can very nicely with the attached handle that gracefully tucks away when the can is in use. I can find no major flaws in the design.There are some nice safety features that temporarily shut off the shredding if your hand comes near the paper throat. This would be ideal for anyone with young kids. It also has a safety switch that temporarily turns the shredder off if the shredder is lifted off the basket. While this is a nice safety feature it means the shredder can only be used on the included can. I have also found the switch to occasionally be temperamental. I can see this as a potential cause of problems with some units. In fact I returned a unit to the store for exchange as I couldn't get it to work. I suspect this may have been the culprit.I would definitely buy this unit again at the $60 price I paid. It offers good value for the money and appears to be a solid performer. Time will tell.

This is our 3rd shredder purchased over the past few years & it is the best one to date! The convenience of the front window to know how full it is really helps. I am also tired of struggling to pull out a 'drawer' that is overfilled and making a huge mess every time you empty it. Being able to LIFT the blade up instead is terrific! A great value for the money!

A Standard for Most of My shoes

I was introduced to this product when I was having foot and knee problems that resulted from running. I over pronate and this particular product tends to remedy problems associated with this condition. In selecting this product be aware that it will impact the available space inside of the shoe. In other words, you may want to decide on a smaller insert than the size of the shoe or the reverse. It helps to test which option is best for you before making a selection.

These make such a difference!

An orthopedist recommended these to me as an alternative to me paying hundreds of dollars for custom orthotics. I ordered my first pair last September and they did wonders. All of my previous hip and knee pain was gone after a few weeks of wearing them for walking. This summer, I worked my way back into a light running routine. After a few months of regular running, my hip pain came back. It took me a little while to figure it out, but I needed a new pair of Lynco orthotics. Based on other reviews I've seen, they typically last about a year before wearing out. I just got my new pair last week and have ran in them twice - pain free!These have solved my hip and knee pain resulting from overpronation. I wear them in my sneakers when running and sometimes when walking, but I don't need to wear them 24-7. I'd suggest giving these a try before ordering custom orthotics or asking your doctor about them. I suppose after buying these for 10 years, I'll have spent what I would on custom inserts, but this is a nice quick and easy alternative.

Great All Ocassions Watch

This watch can go with slacks and a nice leather belt, with shorts and a nice shirt, even with jeans a t-shirt and snickers. I use it for all purposes and it fits in with all outfits. I don't rate this watch a 5 because of the following reasons. One, it doesn't tell you the date as most watches do; second, the leather strap seems and feels very delicate and you can easily break it or cut it with the buckle. I have had this watch for about 2 months and the strap doesn't show any sign of deterioration and I hope the strap last at least two years.

Ordered this junior set for my daughter for Christmas, Received set before expected date much to my pleasure. With instructions sent by web site and with product, drums surprisely easy to set up. This set is for the little drummer but quite sturdy made and sharp looking. Great little drum set!

Got this one as a late Christmas present since we got the Wii with the drum set and it was too difficult for out son to operate and he just wanted something to makes noises with :). This drum set looks great! We got it for our 5 years old boy an it is the perfect size for him, great for the price as well. It arrived sooner than we expected and we are sure our son is going to love it! The only thing is that it did not come with any instructions to put it together but went online and was able to find some generic instructions and my husband put it together pretty fast. Very happy with it!

Very Pleased

I have played around with (DIY) screens for some time, and decided it was time to get a "real" one. This one is of surprisingly good quality for the price. I even dealt with their customer service on a very minor issue and they were excellent.Note: This screen does not allow remote control signals to pass through it and it muffles sound if the speakers are behind it. Maybe most are that way - I don't know, but it's an important consideration in fitting such a large item into your home theater environment.One more important consideration is that you need to catch two beams to mount this and it's a 94" span. If your house is like mine, and like most the beams are 16" apart. It worked out fine for me (luckily) I caught a floor joist (lengthways) with 4" lag bolts.

You get what you pay for

You get what you pay for.The screen didn't retract when I used it for the first time. I tried and tried and tried, but no luck. After I struggled against it for a whole hour, I decided to send it back. I contacted the seller and they told me I should contact the manufacturer. The manufacturer's response was very quick. The following is what they told me. It maybe works for someone who experiences the same problem as me.--"...You might try taking the screen off the wall while extended and turn the case upside down (with the help of your friend) and see if the locking mechanism will disengage. Sometimes the screen can become jammed during transit and once freed it will work properly. Inverting the screen will allow gravity to assist rather than just inertia. "I didn't try this method although I believe it should work. I rolled the screen from the bottom rod and put it on the top of the book shelf before I email the manufacturer. When I was about to try the above method last night, I take it off the book shelf and it just retracted by itself. Maybe it was because the spring recovered after the whole night of rest. Although it can not retract all the way back and leave a little bit screen hanging out of the case, I'm OK with that.My suggestion is, DO NOT PULL IT ALL THE WAY DOWN, STOP WHEN THE WHITE SCREEN IS OUT OF CASE.Otherwise, the picture on screen is good, and it does have strong smell as someone mentioned in his/her review.Bottom line: this is a budget screen, don't expect too much of it. If you can, buy a better model or brand.

If you gotta scan a few suitcases full of misc pictures. This is your scanner!

First off this scanner does not make the best scan quality of the flatbed scanners I have and do currently use. However I cannot jam an inch thick pile of different sized photos into any other document feeder hand have the scanner (nearly without fail) feed and scan every picture perfectly.It automatically corrects for skew, so I rarely bother with making sure the guides are at the right width anymore.The base software does exactly what it needs to do. Makes incremental filenames out of each pic scanned as it goes through. Currently the scanner takes less than a half a second a pic so it's pretty quick...My only peeves...No mac drivers! I had to start up an old Windows box just to run the scanner.Have plenty of alcohol pads and roller cleaner pads ready (I paid for the suggested Kodak brand and they work). Your old pics will drop goop all over the scanner glass. It will need to be cleaned every few hundred pics.I bought mine used and the underside of the scanning glass was hazy and filthy. I had to disassemble the entire scanner just to get to the glass to clean it. Not very easy...Will not feed Polaroids or the old cardboard thickness prints (I cannot really blame it, but it won't do it)...Other than that this is a very solid product with an excellent document feeder that will handle photos with no problem.

Love this scanner!

I have owned this scanner for several years. I have scanned literally thousands of pictures and clippings for clients. Using this scanner makes my work so much faster and easier that it isnt funny! Simply feed up to 15 pics at a time in its hopper and let it go. Many customizable features allow you to set time outs for empty picture hopper, etc. One amazing feature is that it will auto straighten your pics even if they go in crooked. Post picture correction (rotation and deletion)after scanning is easy with their software. All in all, this scanner is worth every penny I paid for it and has paid for itself in fast picture scanning and turnaround. The only thing that I will caution you about is that the rollers will get dirty from the paper dust and dust on the pictures, so every so often you need to tear it down (very easy to pull out the parts) and clean them with a damp cloth. The plastic rollers will also get a build up on them and will need to be cleaned off for proper non jamming operation. You wont go wrong with this scanner!

Great Scanner -

We purchased this scanner as a replacement to an older model that was SCSI connected. We already had software in place for the paper capture/character recognition so that was not really considered in deciding on the purchase. We have since found this scanner to perform the functions perfectly. I set some of the scan preferences for our users and they simply select an option for the type of document they want in the result (PDF, Text etc) and watch in amazement at how fast this thing performs the job. In fact we are considering a second scanner to replace another older model.Overall we are very satisfied with our purchase.

Prairie View Industries, Inc.'s Bariatric panel wheelchair ramp is made up of three separate light weight ramp panels that interlock to create a ramp width of 47 ¼. The outside panels have 1 ½ curbing for safety. Because it has a solid walking surface is accommodates wheelchairs, scooters or power chairs with various week configurations. The two outside panel widths are approximately 15 wide x 3' long. The center panel measures approximately 177/8 wide x 3' long. The total weight of all three sections is 24 lbs. The Bariatric panel ramp has a maximum capacity rating of 400 lbs single axle, 800 lbs. two axles.

Excellent product at reasonable price

First shipment was incomplete so had to wait for another order to be processed. But once it arrived, I was very happy with the product. Easy to assemble the three panels into one unit. Very sturdy. Nonskid surface. Easily supports power chair.
