This is a fun, simple to use mixer. The mic is adequate, watch out for speaker location to avoid annoying feedback.

dopi mic mixer

although this is really design for ipod video i used this gadget for other video player. since i got laser disc karaoke, cd-g, magic mic, vcd, dvd etc. and it works just fine. i'm satisfied and it is smaller than my pioneer mic mixer and they are both digital. no complain.

Much fun, difficult to set up, song selection not so good yet

I got this for my husband who is an avid karaoke singer. We were able to set it up on the TV alone pretty easily, but we weren't successful hooking it into the home theater system and the TV at the same time. We took it over to a friend's house for a New Year's Eve party. It took about a half hour, and we finally were able to get it piped into their home theater system and TV. There was still a lot of feedback from the microphone if we weren't careful. It gets 5 stars for a great time!The music selection from their website is limited. I can't understand why they have so much music that doesn't have any video (no video means no words). Their search engine isn't effective- for instance if you search on Elton John, you get 2 songs. If you browse and find Elton John, you get about 20 songs. The site doesn't allow you to filter out the music without video. You can sort it, but as soon as you select a song you have to start over. Be prepared, it takes a long time to get music. The songs are $1.99 each, and it gets expensive quickly.We did have a lot of fun with it at the party. It's easy to transport, if not to set up. I think it has a lot of potential in future releases, but I would buy it again now that I know we can play with it at our friends' houses :-)
