Beautifully made, but a barometer is probably more accurate
By James W. Ross MD
This beautiful unit was very well packed and received promptly. It did require a mounting hook, sold separately.Regarding accuracy, it accurately predicted the latest blizzard we had here in Virginia. Note that you do have to allow 12 hours for the crystals to settle before using it. Also, mine got "stuck" after the first storm and the crystals would not redissolve when the weather cleared. I had to shake it up to "reset" it.Overall, a beautiful conversation piece, but Weather Radar or even a barometer is probably more reliable if that is what you require.

Does it really work?
By Zahara
I bought this item because of it's uniqueness. It's really interesting. But I rarely notice changes in it so I question if it really works. From the way I read the instructions my weather should always be cool/rainy and changing...but it's been hot and dry for weeks. I still enjoy it.

Hit or miss performance
By Paul Mitrano
Responds to atmospheric pressure changes and temperature. The best place for it is on the window sill. Function aside, it is very well made and solid. It is a great conversation piece and its response, although spotty, is truly beautiful.
