Larger than 8" model

This was a strange purchase. The product is a 10" model which was important to me because the 8" model seemed too small with the light feature. The product looked beautiful, but is cheaply made (some parts, like the cover). The metal is thin and the plating is thin. Once you mount it functions fine and looks nice. I was able to hard-wire this unit without a problem. It comes with a 25 watt light which isn't very bright imho. I went to HD and bought a Philips EoVantage 40W which uses about 25 watts...more energy efficient that a regular 40w (so the package says). Using the 40w light that only draws the same current as a 25w keeps the heat down to normal, not that it was hot anyway... The bulb I bought is twice the size (length & width) of the factory bulb, but there is plenty of room in the mirror. Note the bulb screws in at a strange forwarded angle.I just hate the fact I scratched the mirror when mounting it, my fault. Easily scratched so be careful.To hard-wire, you just need to keep the switch in line. Maybe someone can explain this better?Ordering was strange... I sent and email to the seller asking it this mirror was hardwired? The reply I got said "If you buy hard-wire you get a hard-wire". Say what? Then I sent an email asking what model number is the hard-wire unit and which one is not. I said I am interested in purchasing both. The replay I got is, "don't sell hard-wire". Okay, I get it, doesn't really matter I can make either work. The price was good/cheap... I think there are some communication issues here, but worked through it. I hope this mirror doesn't rust like some other review showed. I recommend for both plug in or hard-wire. Now I can see things I almost with I couldn't see, but it's better me that someone else. Heck, I didn't know the hair on my ears grows faster than on my head!

Good quality product. Wife says "great makeup mirror". Easy to install. Operates flawlessly Product performs as advertised. Would highly recommend this product for anyone with vision limitations.

The online description and listed features are just the same as the deliveried product. The overall quality and appearance of the mirror are worthy of the price. It suits my needs quite well - especially the large 10" mirror.
