Generously sized casserole

This casserole is well proportioned and holds about 2 3/4 quarts. The reason I gave it 4 stars is due to the poorly designed lid handle which can be somewhat difficult to grasp safely, especially when using a potholder. It can slip out of your grip if you don't support the lid base because of its' weight, it is rather heavy, so care has to be used. Otherwise the casserole itself is well supported by the "ears" during oven to table transfer, you don't have to worry about it slipping out of your hands. I love all Pillivuyt products for their durability and lead free glazed finishes which make clean up so easy. I think another advantage to this casserole is that both the style and color lend itself to everyday casual or formal dining. Even with the poorly designed lid handle, I would still recommend this.
