Missing Accessories

Please be aware that there is a kit version and a non kit version of this item. The Midtronics Web site ([...]) displays the kit version with terminal adapters needed for side terminal batteries and a storage pouch. You will not get the side terminal adapters or the storage pouch with this item from Amazon.com, or at least I didn't. I found out this information by emails from Midtronics. The shown accessories lead partly to my decision to purchase the more expensive PBT300 model. The impression that I got from Midtronics email communications is that they didn't seem to care whether or not I got the accessories. They stopped communicating. It's sort of a "They gotcha" thing.The unit seems to work O.K.I don't normally write reviews, but I was a bit ticked about the accessories shown under the PBT-300 specifications tab on the Midtronics web site that were not supplied. Item only rated 4 stars because of the deception. The Midtronics web site offers no distinction between "kit" and "non kit" versions as of 11/30/2009.

Very good quality

Battery tester works as stated. CCA settings, however, do no line up with all battery ratings. Settings are in increments of 20 and does not line up with my battery rating.. My battery is 750 and I had a choice of 740 or 760. Go figure??

Beware not all parts are included

Mine did not work with the OEM cage, I had to make a few alterations and change out some screws to make it work. Bulb has worked great, just make sure your hands are clean, wear latex gloves, non-powdered preferably.

Well built substantial ladder

The Xtend & Climb ladder was purchased for accessing attic crawl spaces for work as an inspector and appraiser. Being 250 lbs I was concerned about buying a less expensive and lower pound rated ladder. There is a trade-off between weight and strength here. I am very satisfied with the quality and operation and it fits nicely into the trunk of a smaller car. Its heavier but can be carried under one's arm. I would recommend it for someone who is heavier or needs a stronger well built telescoping ladder.

The 'big and small' on the Xtend & Climb 780p

I researched a couple of telescoping ladder products and found the Xtend & Climb 780p to be a perfect choice. The measurements were conflicting on the Amazon website so I will give a definitive measurement. If you were to build a storage container it would fit inside of 4.75x19.75x32". The 4.75x19.75" measurement is at the base...at the top it tapers to 18 1/8x 3 1/8". It comes with a velcro strap that keeps the ladder compacted while transporting it. Built into the strap is a padded base that creates a natural holding position while transporting. The measurement from where your hand cusps the handle to the top of the ladder(which would be under your armpit) is 15". So someone with a shorter arm could easily carry this ladder. It's build sturdy and it weighs 29.6lbs. Extended it feels stable and well built. Time will tell on how it holds up.The other aspect of the past reviews seems a little murky on how the telescoping feature works so I will try to paint the perfect picture...One note: The older version of this design must have been a finger pincher, However this design is brilliant. It has a fail-safe design that when retracting the ladder it only retracts the selected segment 5"(each rung spacing is 12" extended)Selecting the next lower segment retracts the previous segment the final 7" and retracts the selected segment 5". This design keeps the compacting segments(the pincher) 7" away from your hands! In order to retract a segment you have to have both hands on each side of the ladder, with your thumbs horizontal contacting a safety latch. A simultaneous pushing action with your thumbs allows the segments to retract. The tolerance of the retracting tube design creates air pressure that deflects the weight of the retraction...a great design!Another note the other reviews don't cover is that the first rung is a fixed 6" above the ground. This enables you to put your foot under the rung while positioning the ladder on the ground (while the ladder is not fully extended... you will figure this out sooner or later). And another note is that it's very difficult to retract the ladder in a horizontal position (and I would not recommend it since you really don't want to get the segments dirty or filled with abrasive grit since this will diminish the retraction design). With this in mind it would be a good idea to keep it covered when not in use.

Quick way to land in a emergecy room

Had this ladder for 2 months and have used it about 12 times. At first liked it because it fit in my prius for my work inspecting roofs. The last use coming down with the ladder fully extended the 5th step gave way just broke off at the cheap plastic latches that snap each step up. I fell into some bushes but ok. There is no way this ladder could be rated 1A the way it springs fully extended and never in 30 years had a step just snap. Stay away from this and save a future emergency room visit.

Climbing up the wall

A really handy solution of where to keep that ladder. This telescopic one can be kept in a small space and will be extremely useful if you do a professional job (surveyor for example) and need a ladder but drive a car.The weight is acceptable and I think the manufacturing of this model is robust enough for plenty of use. I have, though, found a slight design flaw: the rungs have right-angled edges so that when the unit is leaning against something you place your foot on the apex of the rung. I'm surprised that this hasn't been solved by slightly curving the edge of the rungs, like any normal ladder.It could be, of course, that this problem will be solved with the next model and advertised as: Now with new improved rungs! Good, but narrower than expected

Good little folding ladder, just as described, but was narrower than I'd expected.Pros:- Collapses down nicely, as-expected. Very compact, easy to store/move.- Easy to use. It comes with good instructions/quick-use guides but it's a pretty intuitive operation- anti-finger-snapping-mechanism. I'm sure they have a fancy, marketing name for it, but they've built it such that when you're re-collapsing the ladder it can't collapse down on your fingers. Very nice feature.Cons:- Heavier than I'd expected. Not back-breaking-heavy, but weightier than expected. (still pretty easy to move around)- Stickers came off. As noted here (or maybe it was in the review for the 12ft model), the little colored stickers that help indicate 'locked' or 'unlocked' were coming off before I even opened it. Not too big a deal, they're a 'nice-to-have' - as long as you're reasonably careful, you won't even notice. I probably wouldn't if it hadn't been specifically called out in another review.- Narrow. I'm not a tiny guy, but I'm also not *that* large (adult male, ~6' 2", 210lbs). This ladder felt very narrow climbing up it. Was a bit of an uncomfortable feeling.Outstanding questions:- Durability: The components are all solid enough, but I'm a little concerned about the over-all fitting. I've only had the unit for a short while and haven't had too many occasions to use it. I'll be curious to see how well it would survive more vigorous/long-term use.One word of advice: I bought the 8.5' version and immediately regretted it. I should have gone one size higher/longer. Remember that when you use a ladder like this you aren't (shouldn't) be pointing it straight up. You'll want to angle it a bit for stability. So get a ladder that's a bit longer than you think you'll need.

Super potty-training buddy!

We've used Scotty to help our two boys learn to use the toilet. My first son had a really hard time understanding the concept of going potty. We tried everything, but he just wouldn't get it, even after his 3rd birthday. I heard about the "Potty Train in a Day" method and bought the doll. We had a big "Potty Party" for my Scotty and my son. In the morning we trained the doll to use the potty, then at lunchtime had a big celebration (ridiculously over the top, but my 3-year-old was pumped about the doll's success!). Then in the afternoon it was our son's turn to use the potty. Up until this day, he had NEVER done any business on the potty. He really was clueless about it. Finally, late in the afternoon he "performed" and it clicked. It still took about 3 months for him to be pull-up free, but it clicked and I appreciate Scotty's help! Our younger son was just plain stubborn about the potty, but helping to train Scotty got him excited and the "Potty Party" really helped him get out of pull-ups quickly.The doll is well made and the "parts" are realistic enough. Occasionally, Scotty would leak a tiny bit, but I really don't think you can expect perfection. One tip: don't let your child clearly see you squeezing Scotty's leg (that's how you make him pee). One of our boys thought that in order to make himself pee, he needed to squeeze his own leg! Guess he was really paying attention! Also, for the poop, use a turkey baster filled with baby food prunes to discreetly squirt into the potty. Your child will think that Scotty really pooped. Also, use the prunes in Scotty's underwear when he has an "accident". Clean it up quick, though, since it will stain.We used the book by Teri Crane for the one-day method, but the doll also comes with a book. Great idea for boys that just aren't getting it!Good luck!

it works!

it took us 2 days not one but my son is only 23 months. he took naps with the doll and loved making it go pee. I would press the leg to make it pee and my smart little son would press the leg also. He wasn't fooled but it deff. worked! unbelieveable 23 month and potty trained and it was so fast and fun. I can't believe I skipped all the potty training wars with this method. Plan it right and do what it says and it will work.

Doll doesn't work properly

I was excited to try this out but when I tried the doll it did not work, the bottle doesn't fit in the dolls mouth and water went everywhere. I finally pulled the dolls head off to see what was going on and found the tubing was all twisted up I tried untwisting it and retried the doll but it still did not work as described. Very disappointed should have saved my money and just bought the book.

I keep getting Amazon emails with these coins listed - presumably because I was recently searching for Chocolate Gold Coins to use in my wedding. The problem I have is that the title blatantly states that these coins are "Only $0.09 Each!" which is a blatant lie no matter how you swing it. Let's do the math, currently a bag of 465 coins is listed at about $70.00. Assuming that is the gross cost of the product, $70.00 divided by 465 coins is just a fraction of a cent over $0.15/coin. But wait - the seller also charges a grossly inappropriate $18.95 to ship the coins. This brings the total for the entire bag to $88.95 or a fraction of a cent over $0.19/coin - which is MORE THAN DOUBLE THE PRICE that "Honest Foods" is advertising in the product's title and description.Honest? I think not. I'll buy my coins from someone who doesn't lie to my face.

Good Buy, Good Price

I got these for a pirate themed baby shower I was hosting based on the other reviews here. I was very impressed with the company selling these, they arrived in perfect condition, not a single one even slightly melted or warped. On top of that, the chocolate is actually decent, not that awful waxy chocolate you find in some gold coins. On the front side the coin says "Fort Knox Gold Coins" on the back the coin says "E Pluribus Unum 1878" with a picture of a lady.

Product Description

Heavy duty aluminum auto dolly. Each dolly measures 12 x 16 x 3 tall to bottom of contour. Made using 3/8 aluminum plate which will not rust. The casters are low profile ball bearing swivels with 2 ½ polyolefin plain bore wheels, with ½ x 13 x 1 threaded stem. Each auto dolly has a gentle contour, allow the tires surface to rest more completely on the auto dolly. Each dolly supports up to 1600 lbs. of dispersed weight. 1 year warranty. Sold in sets of 4.

I like them but they were poorly packaged The box looked like it got dragged down the road So because of this the studs for the wheels rubbed against each other and caused alot of gouging But other than that I really like them

I bought this for my granddaughter and am truly delighted. I have never dealt with a better company than Discoveries. I love this pendant. Everyone who has seen it thinks it very unusual and pretty. My boyfriend was upset at first when he realized it didn't ship with a chain but I had saw it didn't list that when I put it on my wishlist months ago. So be aware if you buy it- no chain, just the pendant. The fact that it's actually made in Eygpt just makes it even more special. It's one of my favorite pieces of jewelry.

Perfect!

I bought these the first week of December as a birthday present for a co-worker. Her birthday was the last week of December so I was very worried that I wouldn't receive this item in time! Boy was I wrong! The cartouche arrived in a couple weeks, beautifully packaged and quite well made! The best part was the price (around $40) which was significantly cheaper than other vendors were offering at the time. Again, I was a bit concerned, but I have to say I was extremely pleased with the vendor and this purchase! I would definitely order from them again...if I only knew someone else looking for a silver cartouche!
