High Quality Material and Fantastic Looks! (but be prepared)

A friend and I put these on my 2009 Yamaha V Star 1300.The Good:They look fantastic. High Quality. They will provide a good place to add additional pegs for the long trips I'm planning as the weather warms. Once on they feel solid.The Bad:Thank goodness I had a friend. Even with two of us, it was a pain trying to get everything to line up. With the bolts just loosely attached, not all the bolt holes wanted to line up correctly and we had to muscle it in. When the bolts went through the holes above the radiator and connected to the fatty bars, the angle was off by a good ten degrees from straight. We were able to get everything tightened up, but it wasn't a fun process.This was more of an issue with the bike than the fatty bars: the location of the holes just above the radiator were impossible for my hands. Thank goodness the friend helping me was female with very small hands. Also, for those 2 bolts specifically, if we had not used a ratcheting wrench, it would have taken a whole lot longer.It would be nice if I could say that air tools would have made the job easier, but getting all the mounting bolts on would still not have been an easy task.It seems to me as though the bars themselves could be better contoured for the model of bike they are designed to fit.Wrap Up:Even with all that, I'm giving this a 5 star rating because I really do love the way they look and feel. And it's not as though I have to take them off and put them back on seasonally.
