Product Description
Just like the 18T, 18B and 18MT, everything is included - the car, transmitter, motor, battery, and charger are all in the box. All you ll need to do is charge the included race pack, add your 8 "AA" batteries and you are ready for racing! Team Associated s XP series electronics in the 18R are completely modular, allowing easy access to the receiver, steering servo, and XPS electronic speed control. The RC18R suspension absorbs all of the imperfections of the road with oil-filled shocks for smooth and consistent dampening. The reversible speed control lets you back out of tight places. The 4WD power-train gives you positive traction at all 4 corners of the car for great handling.

An oldie but a goodie

Great 1/18 Scale car. While this is a oldie from Team Associated, it's a great one. Durable, easy to work on and parts are still readily available from local hobby store or online. Even box stock, its faster than you'd think, but drop in a brushless/lipo set up and its blazing the rubber off the rims. I race mine at a local track and have a blast. Why haven't you gotten one yet? Well? Go on, hit the "buy" button.. Like NOW!

This is a great, but basic starter car for anyone looking for something a little better than your standard sub $50 toy R/C cars you buy from the cheap outlets or market resellers. This unit comes with everything you need to start driving the car (except 8 x AA batteries which you need to supply for the transmitter). Just charge up the included battery, connect it, secure the body down, sort out your transmitter and off you go. The car handles very nicely, and while not terribly fast, you can certainly generate a bit of speed quickly with the included motor. The oil filled shocks are good and overall build quality seems quite good.Spare parts are available, but hopefully not needed for a long while. This is a 27Mhz system so range is limited compared to a 2.4Ghz but still plenty of range to reach up and down most suburban streets. Battery life seems very good compared to other RC cars I have used/owned. Overall a nice package and I guess it could be easily upgraded if you wanted to (brushless motor etc).
